I made some more T-shirts with a stamp I made of a design by myself.
I tried it on different colors to see if it was effective on all colors,
but the brightest (like the yellow one) give the best result.

PEFC

I hooked up with Beast Animation again
(or they with me), and did a little bit of animation
on a commercial for PEFC.

It was nice to be able to animate again :)

I tried to put more stopmotion animation in it,
since that's the kind of animation I am focusing on.

T-shirts

As you can see, I thought it was time for a new look for my blog.
I changed some minor things, but I like it better now.
Also, I 'd like to show you some t-shirts
for which I made the prints myself.
The first one is made with a stamp.
The design is based on little creatures, called "soot sprites",
from the movies "My Neighbor Totoro"
and "Spirited Away" by Hayao Miyazaki.
The second one is directly drawn on the T-shirt
and is a design of myself.

Since it seems my old work has been pleasing
more and more people
(partly because it was shown 3 times on tv)
and it is already on youtube,
I couldn't think of a reason not to post it on my blog.
This is a one-minute movie I made in 2006.

Masterclass with Andreas Hykade

In the first week of september my boyfriend,
Evan, and I did a masterclass in Tilburg given by
Andreas Hykade (http://www.hykade.de/).
The challenge of this masterclass
was to try to make a shortfilm in one week.
The subject, given by Andreas Hykade,
was the story of Little Red Riding Hood.
Based on that story and together with a friend
we met at the masterclass, Anne Breymann,
we made this little movie.
The characters were cut out of cardboard and
both the parts of the film were shot outside.
The bottom part was shot during the night
and the top part was shot on the exact same place
during the day.
We didn't finish the film at the end of the week
(actually no-one did) so we assembled the two parts
later at home. We hope you like it.

Beast Animation II

So... like I said in the previous post: More photo's of the "Man Bijt Hond"-project,
which I worked on for the past two months.
During the first month it was mainly making the dogs
and in the second month we did the animation.
And... I could animate in the sun!!!
We animators are normally like vampieres to the sun, but not this time.
I hope I will be able to work on a project like this again.
It was the project I had the most fun working on till now.

Beast Animation

In february I did an internship during a month at Beast Animation,
which is a stopmotion studio in Brussels.
I realy enjoyed working there and I'm currently working there again
for two months now.
We're working on a project for "Man bijt hond"
which is a television program on he flamish tv.
But more about that (and more pictures) in the next post.
The first project I worked on was called "Master Bator",
and yes... the main character is a penis.
On the pictures there's me working on some props and
backgrounds and doing some (not dirty)
animation tests with the master.

More Stopmotion

I went to Amsterdam last week,
where I did some stopmotion animation
during the "Doe-het-niet-zelf animatiedagen".
I was realy great and this little film is what came out of it.
I worked together with two guys from the Netherlands,
Rikkert Nusselder and Gerben Agterberg, on this shortfilm.
I realy enjoyed working with them.

Stopmotion Workshop

I did a workshop two weeks ago, which was given by
José Miguel Ribeiro. It was a workshop to learn how
to do character animation in stopmotion.
We had to make the puppets ourselves with te material
that was available, which wasn't a lot as you can see in
the short movie above. I did the animation of the tall
character which was called 'Louis'.
It was my first stopmotion animation.
I hope to do some more stopmotion animation
in the future, because I realy liked it.

Sand Animation

This is a mock-up for my first
animation assignment since I graduated in june.
I work on it with 3 people I graduated with.
It's part of a longer movie (made by Nic Balthazar -"Ben X"-)
to explain about the rising temperature of the earth
and that we should do something about it.
When the film will be finished it will be shown all over the globe,
because of the importance of the message.

Princess in a tower

These are some drawings I made (some a long time ago, some less time ago)
about the ways of getting a knight into a tower where a princess is locked away.
I have a lot more ideas about that subject, so maybe I'll make a whole book out of it.
