This T-shirt was made for a friend's birthday and I kind of liked what it became so I posted it :) I simply drew the animals I invented directly on the T-shirt. Since you can't really see them in the total-shots I added some closer views.
I made some more T-shirts with a stamp I made of a design by myself. I tried it on different colors to see if it was effective on all colors, but the brightest (like the yellow one) give the best result.
I hooked up with Beast Animation again (or they with me), and did a little bit of animation on a commercial for PEFC. (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification: http://www.pefc.org/) It was nice to be able to animate again :)
I made a new, more recent showreel... I tried to put more stopmotion animation in it, since that's the kind of animation I am focusing on. Hope you enjoy it!
As you can see, I thought it was time for a new look for my blog. I changed some minor things, but I like it better now. Also, I 'd like to show you some t-shirts for which I made the prints myself. The first one is made with a stamp. The design is based on little creatures, called "soot sprites", from the movies "My Neighbor Totoro" and "Spirited Away" by Hayao Miyazaki. The second one is directly drawn on the T-shirt and is a design of myself.
Since it seems my old work has been pleasing more and more people (partly because it was shown 3 times on tv) and it is already on youtube, I couldn't think of a reason not to post it on my blog. This is a one-minute movie I made in 2006. I hope you enjoy it too.
In the first week of september my boyfriend, Evan, and I did a masterclass in Tilburg given by Andreas Hykade (http://www.hykade.de/). The challenge of this masterclass was to try to make a shortfilm in one week. The subject, given by Andreas Hykade, was the story of Little Red Riding Hood. Based on that story and together with a friend we met at the masterclass, Anne Breymann, we made this little movie. The characters were cut out of cardboard and both the parts of the film were shot outside. The bottom part was shot during the night and the top part was shot on the exact same place during the day. We didn't finish the film at the end of the week (actually no-one did) so we assembled the two parts later at home. We hope you like it.
So... like I said in the previous post: More photo's of the "Man Bijt Hond"-project, which I worked on for the past two months. During the first month it was mainly making the dogs and in the second month we did the animation. And... I could animate in the sun!!! We animators are normally like vampieres to the sun, but not this time. I hope I will be able to work on a project like this again. It was the project I had the most fun working on till now.
